Buckeye Gun Shows, LLC Statement

There is some confusion and misunderstandings within some of the Ohio Gun Show community that needs to be cleared up. First and foremost, Buckeye Gun Shows, LLC was formed to promote and present Gun Shows throughout Central Ohio expanding to other parts of the state and beyond. Buckeye Gun shows is dedicated to presenting safe, ethical, and professional shows at all of our venues. We will strive to present our dealers and exhibitors with the largest crowds of interested buyers and sellers in the community. For our patrons, we want your loyalty and will strive to present you an extensive selection of quality, firearms, ammunition, knives and associated products and services. For our owners and operating crews we will strive to provide you with fair wages and good working conditions. We will provide professionally managed and advertised gun shows for the benefit of the gun show dealer & exhibitor's network, local communities, and the citizens who enjoy attending gun shows. 

With that in mind: 

Buckeye Gun Shows is not affiliated and has never been affiliated with the Peoples Rights Organization (PRO) or Pro Gun Shows. The owners of Buckeye Gun Shows did serve on the Board of Directors of PRO.  The Peoples Rights Organization unfortunately dissolved effective June 21, 2011 as a result of the heavy burden of debt, lawsuits, and legal obligations created from defending itself from the actions of Mike Duve’s mismanagement of the PRO Gun Shows (see his email).  PRO was started in 1989 and became a statewide constitutional advocacy group that was successful in both federal and state courts overturning unconstitutional laws. They sued the City of Columbus twice and won both times at the Ohio Supreme Court. 

Below is the link to the email sent to the Board of Directors of the Peoples Rights Organization from Mike Duve, who under contract by the Peoples Rights Organization was to manage and promote the PRO Gun Shows to help finance the non-profit advocacy group and the Second Amendment Information & Education Center operated by the Peoples Rights Organization. Mike Duve was not a member of the Peoples Rights Organization.
